The restaurant is decorated fusion with both some Chinese traditional decor mixed with western style . Owners maintain it  well . Food is fabulous and their menu  contain unique dishes. Tables are quite packed with high noise level. There's a bit of a wait even though you made reservations. However , all worth it

A few things to expect and over look when dining in Chinese restaurants.

    1. Customer Service (or lack there of): This place is pretty packed and you really feel squished like sardines.  Make sure you have reservations.  They do turn over their tables quickly so food gets served right away and they will let you know when it's time for you to leave. Not a place to sit and chill.. more like a marathon to eat, go and enjoy your left overs somewhere else. I've never felt so rushed having dinner before.

    2. Cleanliness: better than most and you can tell they tried

    3. Food: fresh, good quality and decent portion sizes

    4. Cash Only: this was my deal breaker.  I get it  if this was a HK cafe.. but our table's bill was about $750 and they expected cash only which they did not tell us during the time of booking.  It was inconvenient and weird that there was literally no option to pay with card.

You can tell they want to run an efficient restaurant.  The beauty of living in Vancouver is that there are many other Chinese restaurants that have quality food, poor customer service and so so cleanliness that ALSO accepts interact/credit card.  Because of that I won't be returning.. unless I win Monopoly and come in with my dolla dolla bills.

This place have no idea what customer service means, I stood at the entrance for 5 minutes waitresses walked by without any acknowledgement I have a reservation for 10 the place doesn't even provide any elbow room
asked the waitress as she walked by a question she mumbled in reply and I asked her to repeat she mumbled something without even laying an eye on me my goodness they must think they are doing me a big favour by letting me eat there
The food was just average but high end price
I will never darken their door way ever again
Also they don't take credit card cash only I wondered why (most time it's credit card companies will not work with the business)
Go if you're sucker for torture.

I've been here a few times with a group of 10 or 12 friends. We usually ordered their specialty dishes, which were written on the wall, and they all tasted good. The price was a little steep and the service not up to par, but the food never disappointed. I would have given this place a 4/5 if not for the bad experience I had in my recent visit.

We decided to dine in their private room, which had a minimum charge of $500. As a group of 12, we ordered a steamed live Groupa dish with the fish weighed over 2 lbs. It turned out that the fish was over-cooked with a stale taste. Not only that, the pre-ordered black-bone chicken coconut soup, which was supposed to be a delicacy, tasted more watery than flavourful! And these two dishes cost us $128 and $100 respectively.

The other dishes we ordered were all up to its usual standard, two of which deserve special mention: the sautéed dungeon crab with duck egg yolks and soy sauce pigeons.

Overall, for the price we paid, we were much dissatisfied with the food we had, and for one, I will think twice for a revisit in the future.

I've only been here twice, both times it was for a birthday dinner. Both times the place was busy and very full. Like most chinese restaurants, one should not come here expecting good service. Though the last time we were here for my mothers birthday, the servers were more rude than I would like. Food took long to come, therefore we were there for longer. The staff then asks us to hurry and eat our birthday cake because we had stayed there a long time. I really didn't appreciate that. I rarely comment on bad service but that really rubbed me the wrong way. With that being said though, service does not change my view of the food.

The last time we came here we ordered...(not sure what all the names really were, was a bad yelper and forgot to take pictures of things)

House special soya chicken - this was the bomb dot com. Don't know what they do but man that soya based sauce was so delicious. The chicken itself was super moist and juicy! Nothing bad to say about this and would HIGHLY recommend it! According to my mother, this is something that needs to be ordered ahead of time because they do tend to sell out (sorry that I don't have an actual name)

Salted egg yolk dry ribs - for those who love the whole salted egg yolk craze, this is definitely a must get. There are other salted egg yolk items on the menu as well like the famous lobster, but we chose to get the ribs as we weren't really feeling shellfish that day. The rub was so flavourful and the meat still juicy. It was a little heavy so you wouldn't be able to eat a lot of it but it was a great dish for family style.

Enoki and egg tofu with veggies - how can you go wrong with egg tofu dishes, you really can't. This dish was good nothing too exciting or special.

Braised vermicelli pot - this was a crowd pleaser for sure. Very flavourful dish. The vermicelli just absorbed all the flavours. This was the last item to come and even though we were all very full we managed to finish this very large portioned dish.

Shrimp paste fried morning glory - this was also very nice. The shrimp paste was not overwhelming and balance of flavour was on point. Not to salty so the sweetness of the morning glory was still there. Very impressed with this dish.

Dessert was the very well known mango pudding along with our birthday cake.

    TL;DR
Food is good. Service... is the same as other chinese restaurants. But you don't come for the service. You tolerate it for good food. Quality here I think is pretty spot on, price point is a tiny bit steep for what it is but every once in a while that's okay.
